We quickly decided that we will be celebrating Obie Xmas every year on December 9. Ways to celebrate Obie Xmas for us (and for you if you choose to) include:
- Gifts of things we need to take care of ourselves - especially underthings, soap, and nutritious food
- Donations to organizations that give out things people need (such as Sacred Heart in San Jose, or a food bank)
- Donations to organizations that give medical care - especially to kids (such as a children's hospital, Doctors Without Borders, or UNICEF )
Obie Xmas gifts can be in their own special place, under a tree, or in a stocking. If you do make any donations to celebrate Obie Xmas, please consider making the gift in his honor or just letting us know about it. We love (and will continue to love) hearing about generosity inspired by our Obear. Remember, donations make Obie smile.
